Cerro Moro Argentina

Cerro Moro is a gold-silver operation located in Santa Cruz province of Argentina.  The operation began feeding ore to the 1,000 tonne per day processing plant in April 2018, and is expected to ramp up over the second quarter of 2018.

The property contains a number of high-grade epithermal gold and silver veins, which are expected to be mined by a combination of open pit and underground mining.  Cerro Moro is expected to produce 85,000 ounces of gold and 3.75 million ounces of silver in 2018.  The medium-term target is production of 130,000 ounces of gold and 7.0 million ounces of silver per year.

The Cerro Moro project offers significant opportunities for the conversion of mineral resources* into mineral reserves and for further discoveries on the property.  Yamana is targeting the addition of 1.0 million gold equivalent mineral resources to the mineral inventory over the coming years.

* Please refer to Mineral Reserves & Resources for complete information relating to mineral reserves and mineral resources indicating tonnage and grade for the various mines and projects.
